Brittany’s greatest joy in life was her beloved son, Grayson McDonald. As a mother, she was unwavering in her dedication, showering Grayson with unconditional love, support, and guidance. Her world revolved around her son, and she strived each day to create a nurturing and joyful life for him. Her passing leaves a profound loss in his heart and in the hearts of those who witnessed their beautiful bond.

Born in Breese, Illinois, and raised in the close-knit town of Sorento, Brittany was known for her radiant personality, warm heart, and unshakable devotion to her family. From a young age, she carried a strong sense of responsibility and a deep commitment to helping others. Her kindness, generosity, and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
A Passionate and Caring Nurse
After graduating from Bond County Community Unit #2 High School in 2007, Brittany followed her passion for healthcare by earning her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Kaskaskia College in 2011. She pursued her nursing career with heart and purpose, touching countless lives with her gentle care, dedication, and empathy. Brittany was deeply respected by her colleagues and patients alike for her professionalism, warmth, and unwavering commitment to her calling.
A Cherished Family Member and Friend
Brittany’s loss is deeply felt by her loving family: her parents Brian and Kim Burlison of Sorento, her sister Heather Lemery, her brother Nicholas Burlison, and her grandfather Mike Burlison. She was the heart of her family—always present with her joyful spirit, her listening ear, and her boundless love. Her presence will be missed at every family gathering and in every shared memory.
