Seven Hills, OH – Breanna Marguerite Sprenger, a beloved and vibrant 23-year-old from Seven Hills, Ohio, passed away recently following surgery due to health complications. A beacon of strength, positivity, and advocacy, Breanna’s life touched countless individuals throughout Ohio and across the nation. Her passing is deeply mourned by family, friends, and the communities she so passionately served.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Breanna attended Avon High School before pursuing Child Development at The University of Akron. She was working toward a degree in Social Work at Cleveland State University, with plans to graduate in 2026. Alongside her academic journey, she served as a YELP Intern at Youth Challenge and worked as a Facility Assistant at The University of Akron’s Student Recreation and Wellness Center—roles that reflected her deep commitment to growth, service, and inclusion.
Breanna was best known for her unwavering advocacy for people with disabilities. As a Good Life Ambassador for the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities, she began making an impact in 2023. Through hundreds of heartfelt presentations, Breanna became a powerful and authentic voice, educating and inspiring communities while promoting a message of resilience and hope.
A retired S1 Team USA Paralympic swimmer, Breanna brought the same determination and courage to sports as she did to her advocacy work. Friends and colleagues describe her as “an unstoppable force,” with one friend, Taylor DiDonato, noting that she “never met a challenge she could not face.” Another close friend, Tracy Marie, remembered her as a “ray of light” who uplifted everyone around her.
Breanna moved to Cuyahoga County as a young adult, determined to live independently and make a difference. She was also an alumna of Delta Gamma and embodied its values of service and community. Her involvement in local and statewide disability advocacy efforts was both impactful and inspiring, leaving a legacy of compassion, strength, and leadership.
Despite facing significant health challenges, Breanna never lost sight of her goals or her spirit. Her story stands as a testament to the power of optimism and determination.
