With profound sorrow and heavy hearts, we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Brayden J. Suiter, a beloved 16-year-old from Fort Plain, New York. Brayden passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2025, leaving a deep void in the lives of their family, friends, and the entire community.

Brayden was known for their infectious smile, compassionate heart, and the joy they brought to everyone around them. Whether spending time with family, laughing with friends, or simply offering a kind word to someone in need, Brayden had a rare gift for making people feel seen, heard, and loved. Their vibrant personality, coupled with a natural kindness and generous spirit, left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing them.

A Life Full of Love and Light

Brayden’s time on Earth, though tragically brief, was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. They brought immense pride and joy to their parents, Jamie Suiter and Tanya LeRoy Suiter, who described Brayden as a selfless, loving child who always put others before themselves. Their devotion and affection for their family were unconditional, and their memory will forever remain in their parents’ hearts.

Brayden is also survived by their cherished siblings: Kiana VanValkenburgh, Derek Prevost, Giavanna Suiter, and Caine Suiter. The bond they shared was one of unwavering love, mutual support, and deep friendship. These siblings will carry Brayden’s memory with them always, finding comfort in the special moments and laughter they shared.

The family also mourns the recent loss of Brayden’s uncle, James Randall, who was a guiding and loving presence in Brayden’s life. The combined loss has deeply affected the family, but they take solace in knowing the love and memories shared will live on.

Visitation and Funeral Services

To honor Brayden’s life and legacy, a visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Houghtaling & Hanley Funeral Home, Inc. in Fort Plain. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM at the same location. These services will provide an opportunity for all who knew and loved Brayden to come together, share memories, and celebrate a beautiful life taken too soon.

Honoring Brayden’s Legacy

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to a fund established in Brayden’s honor. Donations will support the family during this difficult time and ensure Brayden’s legacy of kindness and love continues to make a difference in the lives of others.
